Clint and I met through our roommates. My most fabulous, meant-to-be roomy and now good friend, Jana, was dating his roomy, Tom, a friend from his mission, and after much resistance, they set us up. We've pretty much been together ever since. We didn't spend much time apart after our first date. Which, was, by the way, the best first date that I have ever been on. We instantly hit it off. I often dated the funny guys who are the life of the party, and that's Clint! But what really bonded us was that we could talk to each other about losing a parent. Clint's dad passed away when Clint was 16 and my mom passed away when I was 14. It meant a lot to have someone who really understood that we could open up to. We knew early on that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together but there was a lot going on so it wasn't until about a year later that we got engaged. Clint proposed to me in front of a huge crowd at the Off Broadway Theatre in SLC where we had our first date. We were engaged for three months and married in August of 2004. Clint is an amazing man, father, and husband. He never ceases to amaze me at how much perspective on life he teaches me on a daily basis. He is patient and kind and people are drawn to him. He is a humble instrument of our Heavenly Father and talks to everybody that comes through his little car lot about the gospel. He is honest and full of integrity. He works hard at what he does and as a result has seen much success and great opportunity. And he really makes me laugh. We have so much fun together! He is my best friend and love of my life!
