history

Clinton Joshua does not have Martin Luther King Jr. day off.   I wouldn't say that it's just another day.  Been thinking about civil rights and the significance of tomorrows historic inauguration.

But, for the sake of this post, the real history being made is that Sadi is drinking milk out of something other than a bottle.  If you don't know her, this is a big deal.  She has been very particular about only drinking water out of a sippy cup and milk out of a bottle.  We've tried to fool her many, many times to no avail.  Many laughs.  Somehow, someway, no pulling a fast one, it happened.   "They" say it should have happened awhile ago, but "they" never heard the cute little suckling noises she made, the heart melting way she asked "please" for it, nor saw how happy it made her.  Oh so happy!  I may miss it more than her.

It is a big step in the Sadi book of life. I daresay there are going to be many new and big adventures in our Sadi's life. But she is forgiving and strong and has the undying love of her mother (and many, many others) who will help her - and you- through the days and weeks to come! Hold on!!!

Oh great so miracles do happen, maybe this event will motivate me to get Faith off the bottle, but then again probably not. I obviously don't have the mental sanity to take the fit that is going to follow such an event. :) Way to go Sadi.
